Expecting that sort of change here next door this afternoon.

Man, we haven’t had any measurable snow in over 2 weeks here in NH. But we did get a dusting, right after I washed both our cars. Just enough for the state to dump salt everywhere.
We desperately need it, ski areas are running almost entirely on snowmaking; trails that don’t have it are either closed, or open with visible dirt and vegetation.

If you did not want precipitation, then why wash your car?

just not the patience for idiot drivers.

Then your efforts were not wasted. At least the snow will slide off easier.

we haven’t had any other than a couple of ~1-2 inch snowfalls

I also washed my car yesterday. We’ll see how Denver does with this storm...

same story here really. This is the first big one we’ve had.
![]() 02/03/2020 at 11:31 |

its a funny story. winds out of the north (unusual) and way more valley snow than mountains.

Washed a car in shorts and a tee shirt because it was warmer in Denver than Miami. This morning it was sleeting and has since turned into snow with a 45+ degree drop and winter storm advisory . Yay! Go Rockies!

Is it just me or do those mountains in the background look quite bare for February? Or do those mountains not get much snow ever?
Also, I feel you, Wisconsin likes to do that too. But we get some even more extreme swings here. I’ve seen temperatures from over 60F to almost -30F in February here.

I was up in Sun Valley. Was a very strange storm, with wind gusts up to 40 MPH landing SFO on the way back.

Yessss. Im flying into salt lake on wednesday night, so that snow is a great thing! Also experienced those summer conditions on Saturday at Mammoth. I legitmately was colder when I skiied there in July last year.

If you think winter is bad, you should see summer on the Wasatch Front.
...or, Summer called and said, “Hold my pop”.

Wow! We got basically nothing up here.

we’re on a verage for the year. The west aspects tend to expose their rocks pretty soon after a storm. we have a 106 inch base right now.

strong winds last night broke my street lamp

![]() 02/03/2020 at 12:27 |

its a funky storm, lake effect is POUNDING the east bench, but even the resorts in the cottonwoods are getting half as much as we are.

Damn. And hear I am upset it’s only 61F today...

Neat. I'm psyched that we've got a decent shot at seeing few inches of accumulation down to the desert floor in the borderland tomorrow night.

Some people like the snow. I don’t, but some people do.
What name do we give to these people?
